After a longgggg break I am back to the blog. We moved from our first nest, a sweet split foyer that we will miss dearly (especially our amazing neighbors!). As luck or blessings rather would have it the family that moved into our house is just lovely and has even given permission for us to gather a few starts from our old flower beds that were all starts from my grandparents home who have since moved from their home. So thank God for good kind people!
We have been in our new OLD (built in 1825) home for going on eight months now and it has been interesting to say the least.
-replaced the electric
-replaced the furnace
-replaced a large amount of plumbing (thanks hubs)
-crawled down the 30 foot deep well to fix the pump (thank you husband)
-installed a wood burner, which currently isn't working, draft issues (husband= #1)
-Dug up our new septic not one time but two! (thanks again husband)
-built a mini barn for our goats and chickens (husband you're the bomb)
-installed an underground fence system for the doggies (thank God for my husband)
NOTE: While my husband was doing nearly all the above work I was watching the kids. Its not often a glorified job but somebody has to do it!
I know I have to be forgetting some of the projects. I have been painting the dining room for 6 months now (ha ha). No painting is easy with two wild toddler boys running around!
We just got Internet service a few days ago. Finally got a hot spot. I have to say that I'm not a fan of satellite Internet but we will take what we can get!
I would love to be posting some pictures with this but as usual in this house there seems to be a malfunction not allowing me to do so! Ha!
We love our money pit! It is our earthly home sweet home!
