Day 30 of 30 to pack up and move on from our wonderful 1825 adventure!
We will surly miss this place! So much good has happened here!
The Goats!
Our first and hopefully not last experience of mini farming! We sold the goats back to their original owners. Our first Goat Bella we had for 3 years. We bottle fed her because her mother died during her birth. We watched her grow and heard her cry for a friend so we purchased Bambi the Nubian goat.
The long term plan was to have goats milk but wild Bambi never reproduced. So no milk. Just the awesome experience of owning and raising goats.
Helping Bella through early motherhood was amazing to witness!
It was so cold this winter that the baby goats were shocked. I had to bring them in the house and have them sleep by the fire to get their blood pumping. I also got to milk Bella for her first milk to give to the babies! It was a great experience!

The Goats and chickens have brought us so much love and joy! Its a time in our life that we will forever cherish!
