Our Actions and Our words are so important...

I don't know a lot of religious music. I do know some from my upbringing in the Catholic Church and School.

Recently I have been wanting to listen to inspirational music.  I read somewhere that songs are very powerful suggestions to your mind.

I can believe that because a sad song makes me feel sad and a happy song makes me feel happy!

I have decided I don't want to listen to anything that might make me feel sad, bad, or mad (hey that rhymed!).

So I have started playing inspirational songs while I'm at home or in the car. I listen to religious radio or talk radio simply because I think there is a better chance of receiving a positive message.

I don't necessarily enjoy this music more right in the moment but I think it may have or create a better end product for me.

I also think about how if music sends me a negative message or feeling the messages that it is sending to my children and the things I want them to feel.

So to get to my point.  I don't know a lot of religious songs.  One I do know and have always liked goes as follows: (as best my memory serves)

Hail Mary, full of grace,
Blessed are you among women, and
Blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.

Holy Mother, quiet light, morning star
so strong and bright,
gentle mother peaceful dove
teach us wisdom; teach us love.

You were chosen by the Father:
You were chosen for the Son,
You were chosen from all women
and for woman shining one.

Holy Mother, quiet light, morning star
so strong and bright,
gentle mother peaceful dove
teach us wisdom; teach us love.

Blessed are you among women
Blessed in turn all women too
Blessed they with peaceful spirits
Blessed they with gentle hearts.

Gentle woman, quiet light, morning star
so strong and bright,
gentle mother peaceful dove
teach us wisdom; teach us love.

You were chosen by the Father:
You were chosen for the Son,
You were chosen from all women
and for woman shining one.

Gentle woman, quiet light, morning star
so strong and bright
gentle mother peaceful dove
teach us wisdom; teach us love

I think that's about right.

I like the tune of this song and who better for me to sing about than the best mother ever! Right?

Today I was cleaning the kitchen and Aiden my two year old son sang along with me.  He had remembered all the words from me singing it the past few days.

I have had a chuckle a time or two hearing him do this same thing with some rap songs.  Now thinking a little more clearly as the responsible mother I hope to be. Which message would I rather him repeat?  What do I want him to remember as an adult.

The answer is easy.

No more Lil Wayne in this house! :-/

I learned that Children learn what they hear and see. They repeat it. This is to be taken seriously!

He learned this from me too! HA HA!

Christmas is the bomb!

Its 2:30 in the morning.

I'm awake because I just arrived home from Christmas shopping for the boys.  Its the first big Christmas Ive ever really had as a mother. Its an amazing feeling to give to my children.

I tried to think about who they are with the gifts we purchased. I tried to think about what they could learn with the gifts chosen.I also thought a lot about how much fun they are going to have and how I cant wait to see the looks on their sweet faces!

I am so blessed with my sweet boys.

I am so blessed to be able to give them a Christmas with gifts, love, and family.  Hopefully they will have a lifetime full of warm memories of time well spent with mom and dad.

How I love these little deers!

Its an awesome experience to finally be the ones (The Hubs and I) making the Christmas happen.

Teaching our children about giving, family, fun, and the deeper meaning of Jesus's birth and what that means to us.

I have a new found spirit in Christmas this year and I am so excited!

Yay for Christmas and all that it brings!

I wish everyone a good one!

They actually liked him!

Yesterday Aiden, Parker, and myself ventured to the mall.

The main reason for the outing was to get my butt moving.  I have been staying cooped up in this house all week while Scott is at work.

If I'm not careful I fall into a Jammie routine.

That's just a routine of never getting out of them!

I have been rolling out of bed making breakfast for the kids. Then I eat whatever is left or something quick. Same deal with lunch.

By the time nap comes around I get on the computer for a bit then the boys are up.

Throw in a story or two maybe some coloring before I know it its 4:00. Time for clean up and getting dinner ready.

With the house all clean and the smell of something yummy cooking I eagerly await Scott's arrival.

Then I realize I look like I just got out of bed.

I feel yuck.

I'm sure my husband who wouldn't dare say so, thinks yuck to himself as well.

I am going to try to get cleaned up and out more often so that I feel better!

This first outing to the mall was great! Tiring, but still great.

The boys were as good as could be expected and we had minimal breakdowns.

Much to my surprise they loved Santa!

I didn't think we would even try it but as we walked by the big guy they acted excited to see him, so we gave it a go!

The picture turned out pretty cute!

I learned not to decide who my children like. They can figure that out for themselves!

Give Thanks for Frands!

*Desirae*Jessica*Kayla*

I'm am eternally thankful for my Chicas!

My second family.

True love is felt with friendship.

Your family loves you no matter what because you're family.

Friends make a choice to continue speaking to you despite all your flaws ( I have many!).  They don't have to see you. They want to.

I have some pretty amazing ladies in my life that I call friend.

I know Ill miss someone.  I also don't have pictures available of all of my girls but you all know who you are!

*Kayla. Kayla. Kayla*

You know me. I know you.

All the good. All the bad.

The kind of friend you are:

I believe that if I turned into a ware wolf at night you would be the first person I would tell.  I know that you wouldn't judge me. I know that you would help me conceal the truth at all cost.  I know that you would tell me if I looked super ugly as a ware wolf. The only problem I could see it causing is you deciding to become one with me. We gots ta stick together!

You also have a hot cousin who looks like a sexy ware wolf. ha ha.
I love you.

You are one of the strongest people I have or ever will meet in my life.

You make me laugh and you know my heart.

You rock.

*Desirae aka D-Rae-Mackie Fresh*

My mirror image.

You're the girl that thinks just like me.

If I love something you love it. Not because I love it, just because we love all the same crap naturally.

We have always had odd similarities....

1- We both like Kayla (lol)

2- We are fellow artistas. Painting, picture taking, decorating... we love this stuff.

3- We like animals too much. If  it were not for your allergen plagued children you know you would have too many dogs like me again.....remember that time we lived together and acquired like 30 animals in a month lol. Then they pooped all over everything we owned. Oh dear. Good times.

4- We both despite obstacles have two children way too close together. We share a love for chaos.

5- We both drive jeeps. What? That counts. We do.

6- Our husbands discuss the handiness of Clorox wipes at gatherings. :-/

7- We both like to sing and will in front of anyone very loudly even if it sounds terrible.

8- Adult A.D.D. !!!!!!!!

9- We are both but especially you, really cool peeps.

10- I wish I had ten because ten seems like a better number to end with. Dang it.

*Jessica*

I miss your face.

You are so far away, but not that far. We should defiantly see each other more than we do.

We share hearts.

You are the most emotional friend that I have.  I think Ive seen you cry more than anyone in the world and I love you for it.

You're a thinker and a feeler.

Doesn't matter the time or distance spent apart.  We are back to "us" in no time at all.

Who else can I talk to about my encounters with the other side?

You are an amazing lady. I love you!

*Jennifer*

My grade school love.

Oh the things I have loved of thee..

Your shoes, your hair, your caboodle pencil case.

Maybe friendship is seeing something in someone that you would like to see more of in yourself.

I've always admired  you.  Always thought whatever you were doing was cool. Call it envy if you must.

You are my laughing friend.  If I am with you I am laughing at everything.  You get me and I get you.

LOVE.

*Krissy*

Kristine, little girl.

Some might think that hanging out with you makes me feel young considering our huge age gap.  This is not true.  Most times its you that wants to go to bed early or just be home!

You're an old soul! You act much older than most folks your age in my opinion.

We grew close in a short amount of time. I think of you as another sister. You're such an honest person and I love that about you.

You say whatever you think or feel and I have learned alot about this from you!

Little girls can teach big old girls like me a thing or two.

*Meghan*

After stealing this picture and posting it I don't think that I should have to go into anymore detail about why I love you. This picture says it all.

You are the funniest person I know.

Just to be fair I'm going to post a picture of your face lol.

I cant find a picture of you not being silly. I have a ton of pictures of us as youngins but no relatively recent photos. We need to do something about it.

Meghan I love you because you are you.

You don't care what people think (we all think you're super weird).  You just are who you are.

You make people laugh.

You re also one of the smartest ladies I know. You're always up on current events, recent books, actors.  I wish I could contain so much knowledge!

You're one of the best!

I have friends that I'm leaving out maybe we have grown apart. Living in different worlds now.

I have been so blessed to have so many wonderful people in and out of my life.

So wherever you are old friend. You hold a special place in my memory and heart.  I think of you from time to time.

If you get a chance say hello. I would love to catch up!
